Our TV units with storage have open shelving that allows you to operate set-top boxes and have space at the back to run the cables to a plug socket. Also incorporated into our TV unit designs are cupboards with internal adjustable shelves so you can hide away the essentials that go with the television and games consoles so they don’t spoil the lines of your room. We offer TV units with storage for both smaller rooms – check out our New Hampshire double TV unit, which is 98cm wide – and larger, and have options that make use of both horizontal space and vertical to provide all the storage you require. When you’re buying, make sure you look at the height of the TV unit to ensure viewing will be comfortable from your sofa or armchair. You generally want the middle of the screen at eye level – although you’ll have to come to an acceptable compromise in a family home and you’ll need to bear in mind the size of the screen and its distance from seating, too.
If you have a large screen, check out our tall TV unit, specially designed to give a home to big televisions. Because we know you don’t necessarily want a super-sized screen on show when you’re not watching, this tall TV cabinet with storage has bifolding doors which can be closed when you’re not looking at the screen. Once they’re shut, the tall New Hampshire media cabinet is a handsome piece of furniture for your living space that doesn’t give away its function. We’ve also built in space for a set-top box and compartments to house your remote controls below the screen. The lower part of the tall TV unit, meanwhile, has both drawers and cupboards that will store games consoles, DVDs and cables together with plenty more you might want to tidy away in your living room. We have two versions in our collection, TV & media low storage, which is 51cm high, and TV & media tall storage, which is 69cm high. With both designs, you can select the individual units that together represent what you need, and we’ll make them as one piece of furniture with a single plinth and top. The modular TV & media low storage can be designed from a combination of an appliance unit without a back which gives easy access to cables, a DVD or CD drawer with heavy-gauge full extension gliders, a single cupboard with adjustable or removable shelf, a double cupboard with adjustable or removable shelf, and a two drawer unit. The TV & media tall storage can be designed using DVD/CD drawers, a three drawer unit, a single cupboard, a double appliance cupboard with shelf above, an appliance unit with three openings and one drawer, and an appliance unit with two openings and two drawers.
