A boot room is a luxury feature, but its benefits aren’t just available to those with a dedicated space. Try these boot room ideas for your home. Locate the storage as near to an entrance as you can so that your family members discard wet and muddy footwear as soon as they come in the door and don’t tread the dirt any further round the house. Adding a seat pad to base units will make this comfortable. Your boot room storage could be by the front door, but you may have a lobby near the back door that works equally well for everyone coming in from the garden. When you’re deciding on your storage combination, counting up the pairs of outdoor shoes and wellies that need to be kept there will help you decide on the number of open tower units. Allocating these cubbyholes to individual family members with low down spaces for little ones can encourage everyone to tidy their own footwear.
We make creating an individual look easy. Your boot room storage can be finished in any of our stylish paint shades. Our tip? If your family’s young and furniture is likely to get scuffed by dirty boots, a dark colour could mean less frequent cleaning. However, if your boot room storage is in an open space like a hallway, picking a pale colour for your design that will reflect the light will help keep the area looking bright and spacious. Our boot room furniture is made from durable and stable MDF so it’s easy to wipe clean whichever colour you choose. You can also customise your boot room storage with your choice of fabric for a seat pad. Our covers are piped and zipped and can be made from any of the fabrics from our extensive collection. Got a fabric in mind? Send it to us and we’ll use that instead so you can get exactly the look you want. You can also make boot room storage your own with a wide choice of handles or knobs for the cupboard units. Pick a shape and material that appeals and co-ordinates with the rest of your room.
Our boot room storage is created using our versatile New Hampshire modular units, and can provide all-in-one storage. It’s easily combined with some of our other great storage solutions as well, though, to give you a customised furniture combination. If you want hanging space for coats and bags, or the dog’s lead, think about adding in a Shaker-style peg rail, or try a peg rail with shelf above, which will allow you to add in some decorative pieces as well as hanging items below. You can go for shelf baskets, too, which will corral items like gloves and scarves. Pretty up your seating with cushions in fabrics that co-ordinate with your seat pads. All the fabrics in our collection are organised in colour groups so colour combining is easy.
