Painted furniture

Unpainted - Plain MDF furniture
Production lead time is around 4-6 weeks
Please allow approx. 6-8 weeks for unpainted furniture to arrive.
Sofas and armchairs – allow 8-10 weeks
Beds & mattresses – within 3-4 weeks
Headboards, footstools and other upholstery orders – within 4-6 weeks
Curtains, blinds and other soft furnishing orders – 4-6 weeks.

Our standard 2-man delivery on heavy furniture is to most of mainland UK, but doesn’t cover the following areas:
AB, DD, DH, DG, EH, EX, G, HS, IV, KA, KH, KY, KW, LA, LL, ML, NE, PA, PH, PL, TD, TQ, SA, SR, TR, ZE.
We can still deliver to these areas but please email us at sales@thedormyhouse.com for a quotation.

You can pick from a range of fabulous headboard shapes when you order from us, and we offer a choice of six designs to enable you to get exactly the look you want for your room. Select from rectangular square, rectangular rounded, curved, majestic, cloud and serpentine shapes to create the look you love. If you’re not sure which will suit your room best, think about your bedroom scheme as a whole and how the headboard will play its part. If you want a room with the emphasis on comfort, you might choose a headboard featuring the softest of lines, which you’ll find in our cloud, curved or rectangular rounded designs. After a more tailored room scheme? Our rectangular square design could be the ideal choice. Creating a bedroom that’s highly decorated? The more ornate look of our majestic headboard could fit the bill. Or, for classic style, the shapely serpentine headboard could be the one for you. And if you want another shape for your headboard? Just get in touch with your requirements.
To allow you to create the style you want for your room, we offer a choice of 5cm or 8cm thick foam headboards. Headboards with 5cm thick foam are designed with the following proportions, depending on the size of the bed: narrow single W:76cm H:68cm above mattress; single W:91cm H:67cm above mattress; double W:137cm H:76cm above mattress; king size W:152cm H:76cm above mattress; super king W:183cm H:76cm above mattress; emperor W:213cm H:76cm above mattress. Headboards made with 8cm thick foam are available with the following measurements: narrow single W:76cm H:68cm above mattress; single W:91cm H:67cm above mattress; double W:137cm H:100cm above mattress; king size W:152cm H:100cm above mattress; super king W:183cm H:100cm above mattress; emperor W:213cm H:100cm above mattress.
We’re happy to use your fabric to make a headboard. Fabric you send to us should be no less than 137cm wide, and you need to supply the following quantities: narrow single (W:76cm H:67cm) 2m + 0.5m for buttons; single (W:91cm H: 67cm) 2m + 0.5m for buttons; double (W: 137cm H: 76cm) 4m + 0.5m for buttons; double (W:137cm H:100cm) 4m + 0.5m for buttons; king (W:152cm H:76cm) 4m + 0.5m for buttons; king (W:152cm H:100cm) 5m + 0.5m for buttons; super king (W:183cm H: 76cm) 5m + 0.5m for buttons; super king (W:183cm H:100cm) 5m + 1m for buttons; emperor (W:213cm H:76cm) 5m + 1m for buttons; emperor (W:213cm H: 100cm) 5m + 1m for buttons. These quantities are based on a plain or small patterned fabric, so if yours is different, please get in touch and we can advise you on how much fabric to send. We will automatically railroad plain fabrics, including velvets and all-over small patterned fabrics, and you must inform us when sending your fabric if you do not want this to be done.
