Headboard upholstery can work equally well in a plain or pattern, and we offer a wide choice of fabrics from the leading fabric houses to choose from. Our fabrics are organised into colour families, like neutrals, blues, blacks and brown, and so on, and you can also filter them into plain, floral, checks & stripes, and patterned selections either within the colour family or across the entire collection. This gives you the chance to narrow down the selection easily if you have something in mind, or simply scroll through and be inspired. You can also send off for free fabric samples and see your proposed headboard fabric in your bedroom. If you’re after a bedroom with a relaxing ambience, why not opt for headboard upholstery in a neutral tone, or the gentlest of colours? Want to make more of an impact? Use a deeper shade as an accent and repeat in other soft furnishings and window treatments. If pattern’s what you’re after, both all-over versions, or those with a repeated mid-scale motif look fabulous. Check out our Bollin Bird fabric as an example of the latter. Don’t forget to consider whether you want contrast piping to complete your headboard design.
Our headboards can be attached to your divan with the struts provided, so they’re easy to add to your bed. To avoid damage in transit all of our headboards come with the fixing struts supplied loose. You’ll find that assembly is very straightforward. The struts need to be fixed on to the back of the board with the screws provided and then slotted over the mounting bolts on the back of your divan. If you prefer, you can wall mount your headboard. Ask us, and we’ll provide wall fittings that will allow you to fix it this way instead. Once it’s in your home, a fabric headboard is very easy to look after. Simply vacuum it gently with the upholstery attachment weekly to keep it dust-free.
Both double beds and larger and single beds look more finished with a headboard in place, as well as being more comfortable. Our single headboards fit both 2’6” and 3’ single beds. For the narrow single 2’6” bed, the single headboard dimensions are W:76cm and H:67cm above the mattress and they can have 5cm or 8cm thick foam. If you’re looking for single headboards for 3’ singles, the single headboard can be W:91cm and H:67cm above the mattress with either 5cm or 8cm thick foam. Single headboards are available with the same wide fabric selection and the option of piping so you can define the edge of your headboard or create a more streamlined finish. You can also select from the whole range of shapes for a single headboard: curved, serpentine, cloud, majestic, rectangular square and rectangular rounded.
